NEET Full Form – What is the Full Form of NEET?

The NEET-UG is being conducted by NTA since 2019 for admission to the undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. NEET Full Form  is National Entrance cum Eligibility Test. NEET (UG) Exam is a qualifying entrance exam since 2020 for admission to the MBBS/BDS courses in AIIMS & JIPMER and other medical colleges.

Eligibility to appear in NEET (UG) – 2021

  • He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.
  • For Candidates of General (UR)/General-EWS born on or before 31.12.2004
  • For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD Category born on or before 31.12.2004
  • The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwBD Candidates.

Education Qualification:

  • Candidates should have passed Intermediate Examination (HSC) (12th) with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology with English as a compulsory subject or equivalent examination.

NEET Admission Procedure:

  • Admissions to all seats of Undergraduate Medical / Dental Courses will be done through NEET (UG) – 2021.

Different types of NEET Exam:

  • NEET-UG: For taking admission in MBBS and BDS (Under Graduate) courses, it has to be given an exam.
  • NEET-PG: This exam is conducted for MS and MD (Post Graduate) candidates.
